Keith Urban Says *This* Was His Greatest Achievement (and We Think Nicole Kidman Would Be Proud)

Keith Urban has racked up quite an impressive number of accomplishments throughout his career. The country musician is not only the recipient of four Grammy Awards, but has served as a judge on hit shows like American Idol and the Australian version of The Voice. But of his many accolades, there is one accomplishment that Urban is particularly proud of—his marriage to Nicole Kidman.

In a mid-December interview on Reba McEntire's podcast, Living & Learning with Reba McEntire, the singer-songwriter was asked what he thought his biggest achievement was. “There's a lot of things,” he said. But the first thing that came out of his mouth? “Marrying the right person was massive.”

He elaborated on his answer, saying, “Marrying for the right reasons...getting sober 15 years ago was a big turning point in my life.”

It wasn't the first time Urban had confessed how important Kidman was to him. While guest-starring on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast in September of 2020, Urban said, “She's just the one. She's the one that I was searching for my whole life, and everything not only changed but had to change in me if I was gonna go that road.” He added, “It was everything I was looking for and then beyond. Just beyond.”

Urban and Kidman first met in 2005, at a G'Day LA event in Hollywood meant to promote "all things Australia." Only six months later, the two started dating and were wed in June of 2006. The pair now share two daughters together, Sunday, 13, and Faith, 11.

We think Nicole would've been very pleased by Keith's answer.
