PureWow recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Garner (who is currently promoting her partnership with Neutrogena). The actress shared exclusive details about her 2023 Thanksgiving menu, which features a combination of family recipes and classic fall dishes.
The 13 Going on 30 star revealed that one of her favorite recipes is her grandma’s Southern sweet potato pudding. “My grandmother made this incredible sweet Southern sweet potato pudding that I now make every year, so we'll definitely have that,” she told PureWow.
Garner joked that the rest of her menu is “pretty basic” and includes fall-favorites like mashed potatoes, green beans and homemade pie. She added, “We'll also have a turkey gravy.”
Garner also discussed the three children she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11. She admitted that her kids have greatly influenced her Thanksgiving menu over the years. Luckily, they’re now old enough to help her in the kitchen.
“One of my kids always makes mashed potatoes,” Garner said. “One will make the green beans, and then they'll decide what kind of pie we’ll have, and we'll make it together since they’re big now.”
