Eva Mendes Claps Back After Someone Said Ryan Gosling Needs to Get Her Out More

Eva Mendes was forced to defend her relationship with her husband, Ryan Gosling, after a fan accused her of staying home too often. (Sorry, what?)

It all started yesterday when the 46-year-old actress shared a throwback pic on Instagram from an old photoshoot. The black-and-white image features Mendes running through the sand in a stunning and form-fitting black dress.

Mendes captioned the post, “Went for a run on the beach this morning [heart emoji] No I didn’t. This picture was taken at least 15 years ago. Haven’t seen a beach this year. Haven’t been on a run this year.”

This prompted one Instagram user to write an uncalled-for comment: “You need to tell Ryan to get you out more.” (Two words: coronavirus pandemic.)

Mendes wrote a spot-on response that perfectly sums up her relationship with Gosling. “No thank you, I’m good. Rather be home with my man than anywhere else in the world,” she replied.

Mendes first met Gosling back in 2012 when they starred in The Place Beyond the Pines. In 2016, the couple tied the knot in a secret wedding that was attended by their closest friends and family. They now share two children together: Esmeralda (6) and Amada (4).

In an Instagram comment, the actress explained why she doesn’t share photos of her daughters with the public. She wrote, “Since my children are still so little and don’t understand what posting their image really means, I don’t have their consent. And I won’t post their image until they’re old enough to give me consent.”

Bless you, Eva Mendes (and family).
