Shailene Woodley Just Revealed a Major ‘Big Little Lies’ Finale Spoiler & We Have So Many Questions

We’d be lying if we said that we don’t have several strong theories going into Sunday night’s finale of Big Little Lies. However, Shailene Woodley (Jane Chapman) just dropped a shocking new spoiler that changes everything.

The 27-year-old actress appeared on yesterday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where she discussed the highly anticipated episode and revealed that it will begin with a jaw-dropping scene.

“In the beginning of the next episode…all of the women go to visit Perry’s [Alexander Skarsgård] grave and his body’s missing,” she said.

Wait, what? There’s no body? Although Woodley didn’t reveal any further details, this leaves us with three potential story lines.

First, we can’t help but wonder if Perry was actually buried in the first place. We know the funeral happened, but did anyone see the physical body? If there was none, it would somewhat explain the empty coffin.

Second, Detective Adrienne Quinlan (Merrin Dungey) is already onto the Monterey Five. The police may have exhumed the body in an attempt to discover what really happened the night of the fundraiser.

And last but not least, Mary Louise (Meryl Streep). Over the past six episodes, she has proven that she’ll stop at nothing to find out what happened to her son. So, we wouldn’t be surprised if she dug up the body for safekeeping. (Sick, we know. But it wouldn’t be totally out of character.)

So, where is Perry’s body? The season two finale of Big Little Lies airs this Sunday, July 21, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on HBO.
