When it comes to vacuums, many of us can agree that Dyson reigns supreme. The brand's selection of powerful cleaners is unrivaled, as any casual-user-turned-diehard-fan can attest. The only negative, really, is that the devices can get pretty pricey, which is why I've been patiently waiting for a Dyson vacuum sale to help me save some cash before saving my floors. Well, fellow bargain hunters, it seems one has just landed in our laps during Amazon October Prime Day 2024. Yes, the two-day sale is here, and the best deals are up for grabs from today, Oct. 8, through tomorrow, Oct. 9. So if you've been seriously thinking about buying Dyson's highly rated V8 vacuum ($470; $350)  (i.e., my top pick from the sale), get your card handy and prepare to secure yours for a steal during this 48-hour savings event.

There are four Dyson vacuum sales you don't want to miss during Amazon Prime Day, starting with a $170 markdown on the brand's V8 vacuum that will give your old vac a run for its money. However, I would suggest taking advantage of the *rare* sale on the V15 Detect ($750; $627) over the next two days, since it's one of the brand's most powerful cleaning machines.

The price difference probably gave this away, but the V15 Detect packs the most power between the two, and I mean that literally. The V15 has higher, more powerful suction than the V8 Plus for a deeper clean. Not to mention, the V15 Detect has a bigger bin volume compared to the V8's.

But while both cordless vacuums come with accessories to tackle hard floors and carpets, suction up pet hair and even clean upholstery, you may want to note that the V8 Plus is lighter, weighing only 5.6 pounds compared to the V15 Detect's 6.8 pounds. The V15 also has a longer run time with 60 minutes of battery, while the V8 has only 40 minutes. Each vacuum also comes complete with auto-sensing technology and illumination capabilities to find and pick up even the tiniest particles.
