How to Order a Starbucks Santa Claus Frappuccino (Because We Could All Use a Little Cheer)

It’s official, Starbucks has launched its list of 2020’s winter drinks. And while we would certainly taste-test a few of them (we’re looking at you, Salted Caramel Mocha and Peppermint Mocha lattes), it turns out the coffee experts are offering another holiday drink to get us in the spirit—the Santa Claus Frappuccino.

Yup. Starbucks has added a drink inspired by the big guy himself (courtesy of Totally the Bomb) to its secret menu—which already features the equally festive Buddy the Elf and the Christmas Cookie beverage. We can't picture ourselves ordering a 'Grande Buddy the Elf' personally, but you do you.

So, what exactly is the Santa Claus Frapp? Well, it’s pretty much a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino (a menu staple) with added strawberry syrup—AKA it’s really nothing new here, people.

It’s important to note that the Starbucks baristas are not required to learn how to make all of the secret menu drinks. Therefore, make sure you know the recipe off the top of your head to walk them through it (don’t worry, it’s fairly simple). Start off by ordering the Vanilla Bean Frapp and ask your server to fill the bottom of your cup (and a drizzle about halfway up) with strawberry puree. Top it all off with whipped cream and a handful of red sprinkles. You know, in case all of that sugar mixed with more sugar wasn't already enough.

If that doesn’t sound like your thing, Starbucks has an extensive list of holiday-themed lattes to get you through the next few months, including the eggnog, salted caramel mocha, chestnut praline, caramel brulée, gingerbread, toasted white chocolate mocha, pumpkin spice and, of course, the peppermint mocha.

Looks like Santa came early this year.
