Try the Magical Drip Cake Trend at Home with Three Ingredients3

There is a time and place for flawlessly decorated cakes with military precision piping (your wedding cake, for example). But a whimsical drip cake makes any day special. Watch as we transform a basic cake into a magical dessert with just three ingredients and a little help from gravity.

What You Need:
 - 1 part white chocolate
 - 1 part heavy cream
 - gel food coloring
 - refrigerated frosted cake

Step 1: Bake your favorite cake and frost ahead of time. Stick it in the refrigerator to chill until you’re ready to start dripping.

Step 2: Combine the white chocolate and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Slowly warm the mixture in the microwave, stirring often, until the chocolate is completely melted. (Tip: Don’t heat on high all at once in an attempt to save time. You’ll just end up burning the chocolate.)

Step 3: Once the chocolate and cream are fully combined, add a few drops of food coloring in any shade your heart desires.

Step 4: Carefully pour the icing onto the top of your cake, starting in the middle. Use an icing spatula or knife to gently spread it to the edges and let gravity take care of the rest.

Step 5: Top the cake with sprinkles, piped rosettes or colorful candles.
