One of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2025 is to eat out less, and cook at home more. For breakfast, in particular, I’ve been trying more smoothies and protein shakes, which makes this Beast Mega 1200 blender the perfect addition to my kitchen. Similar to popular models from Vitamix, Ninja and Nutribullet, the Mega 1200 has received rave reviews for its gorgeous design, convenience and efficiency. I had been hearing a lot of positive feedback about this blender for months, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to give it a try. Over the course of four weeks, I have used the Mega 1200 somewhere around 20 times, and I honestly have to say that it’s the best (and easiest) blender I’ve used to date, very much making it an affordable blender that is well worth your coins.

Beast

I received the new and improved version of the Beast Mega 1200, which, per the brand, is known for its 1,200-watt motor (essentially the equivalent of 1.6 horsepower). Additionally, the blender comes with a 40-ounce vessel, which is made supersized so that you can blend a large amount in one go. (Stanley Quencher fans, you’ve found your match.) There are five different colors to choose from (I opted for the sage colorway), and two additional vessels you can swap, depending on what you’re making and how much of it you need. (One is slightly smaller, about 34 ounces, and the other is just under 17 ounces, making it better for chopping ingredients than making slushies, soups and smoothies.)

As if that isn’t enough, the Beast Mega 1200 Also comes with two storage lids, plus one drinking lid, alongside a straw cap accompanied by two colorful straws that I, personally, think have a very sleek look to them.

The Blending Process

Beast

I’ve only made milkshakes and smoothies so far (don’t judge me), but the 1,200-watt motor is as powerful as they say it is. In-fact, as somebody who isn’t exactly a “blending connoisseur” to say the least, it actually took some getting used to. Make no mistake, this bad boy blends fast and thoroughly, and I would say I had my drinks done in less than two minutes (if that). This means that blending will be a seamless process once I start tackling slushies, cocktails and frozen desserts this summer.

I also love the assortment of vessels because now I can make two different drinks or dishes back-to-back without having to stop to wash the container in between uses. And for as powerful it is, this blender isn’t super loud, which is a bonus because I don’t have to worry about waking my best friend/roommate up when it’s very early in the morning (and vice versa).

Another bonus is the TPE—aka Thermoplastic elastomer, a type of soft, almost rubbery plastic—bottom on the vessels. It’s a small detail you don’t really pay attention to at first, but the sturdiness of the material allows you to stand it upright on counters (which isn’t always the case with blenders), making it easier to throw together a smoothie—while protecting its glass container.

Speaking of the design, this Beast Mega 1200 is a beautiful blender. It’s so aesthetically pleasing that it almost looks like it’s *not* a blender, and it fits nicely with the overall theme of our kitchen. The design is also slender and compact, so you don’t have to worry about it taking up too much space. Some blenders have a way of being clunky— not this one!

As for keeping it clean, Beast Health recommends only putting the blending vessel and accessories into the dishwasher, as the blender base, itself, is not dishwasher safe. I, however, choose the handwashing route as it calms my paranoia of the it breaking while it’s in the dishwasher.

Final Thoughts

What We Like

What We Don't Like

Beast

While some people may hesitate to spend nearly $200 on a blender, I can honestly say that I would make the investment based on the many different benefits the Beast Mega 1200 provides. It’s everything you could possibly ask for in a blender— fast, compact, efficient and attractive. It’s versatile enough to make a wide range of tasty drinks and treats, and it’s sturdy enough to last you for years to come. If you’re going to spend your money on a blender, I highly recommend it being the Beast Mega 1200.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Beast Blender as good as Vitamix?

While the Beast Blender is regarded efficient for its smoothie-making capabilities, it is generally not considered as good as Vitamix, as it lacks the blending power for larger/tougher ingredients. In her review, PureWow’s Executive Editor, Alexia Dellner, praised the Vitamix for its ability to crush ice at fast speeds. “If you don’t start on a low speed, you’ll have shaved ice in ten seconds flat. I needed to pause after five seconds and mix it up a bit, just because some cubes were turning into snowflakes while some remained chunky. But it did the job with hardly any effort.”

Is the Beast Blender Better Than the Ninja?

The Beast Blender is actually considered by many to be better than the Ninja blender, as it has a higher performance quality and a more compact build that takes up less space.

Does the Beast Blender Leak?

Beast promotes the blender’s leak-resistant design, and within my testing process thus far, I have yet to encounter a leak, so I would say that when used properly, the Beast Blender doesn’t leak.

Can the Beast Blender Blend Ice?

Yes, the Beast Blender can blend ice, as it’s constructed with a 1,200-watt motor that’s powerful enough to break down cubes.
