Remember the mid 2000s, when it was considered hip and fashionable to gird your neck with the chunkiest necklace you could find? We eventually left the statement necklace trend by the wayside, but Sandra Oh is making a case for bringing it back (albeit in a much more stylish way).

Appearing on the red (ahem, champagne) carpet at the 95th annual Academy Awards, Oh made her own statement in a yellow-orange Giambattista Valli gown and a large, jewel-encrusted choker.

The 51-year-old actress is at the 2023 Oscars representing her Disney-Pixar movie Turning Red, which is nominated for Best Animated Feature Film. (Also in the category are Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Sea Beast.)

And about that butterscotch-hued gown: According to E!, orange is actually the least common color worn on the celebrity carpet. Why? We have no idea—but our best guess is that the color might clash with the usual bright red flooring. (Good thing it’s beige tonight.)

Orange looks good on you, Sandra.
