On the 37th anniversary of Princess Diana’s second pregnancy announcement, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry practically broke the internet after revealing that they were expecting their second child. The couple shared the exciting news on Valentine’s Day by sharing a romantic pic, which featured a pregnant Markle in her custom Carolina Herrera dress.
Naturally, fans are now curious if the mom will maintain her signature chic maternity looks or switch things up during her second pregnancy, especially now that she's stepped away from her royal duties. We asked Stitch Fix style expert Caitlin Yacopetti to weigh in on how Markle’s maternity looks might evolve: “I think we’re going to see Meghan continue to lean into choosing pieces that feel most authentic to her this pregnancy. While her pregnancy with Archie was defined by classic, sophisticated, high-fashion looks that included many runway looks specifically tailored to her growing bump, I think this pregnancy will be defined by a more casual, Santa Barbara-chic vibe with more laid back looks like jeans, soft knits, tailored shirts and sandals.”
FYI, just this month, we’ve seen the duchess stun in a black Armani silk dress during her Oprah interview, and after the special, she and her husband released a gorgeous family portrait, where she wore a casual palm print dress from La Ligne.
It certainly looks like the mom is leaning into more casual maternity looks, and according to Yacopetti, some of Markle’s style signatures have actually transitioned into her maternity wardrobe. She said, “Meghan’s style aesthetic is timeless, graceful and classic and she carries that with her into pregnancy.”
