As you probably know, Meghan Markle's highly anticipated Netflix series With Love, Meghan is finally out and ready to binge. The show technically centers around the Duchess of Sussex inviting friends and famous guests to a gorgeous California estate, where she shares cooking, gardening and hosting tips. However, the series also gives viewers an inside look into her wardrobe and styling process, which includes mixing high-end pieces (like a $1,325 Loro Piana Takao cashmere crewneck and $395 Jenni Kayne cashmere boyfriend sweater) with affordable basics (like these $50 pleated linen straight-leg pants from Zara). TBH, her high-low styling tip is all anyone can talk about right now, and I don't have to wonder why: It's super easy to embrace. Allow me to explain.

What Is High-Low Dressing, Exactly?

In episode two, Mindy Kaling said what we were all thinking. "Your fashion is one of my favorite things...sometimes I will look like, where’s the coat from? Go to maxmara.com—it’s already sold out. Can you tell me about your clothes?”

"I like high-low," Meghan responds. "So...Zara," she explains while gesturing to her pants. "Loro Piana," she says while pointing to her top. "and Jenni Kayne," she raves while signaling to the sweater draped perfectly around her shoulders. In other words, high-low dressing is about combining more affordable basics (like this $128 J.Crew cropped sweater and $198 Reformation silk skirt) with high-end styles to achieve quiet elegance that's just as perfect for a fancy dinner out as it is for the office.

How to Get the Look

To get Markle's high-low look, all you have to do is pair high-end or designer items (like this $395 Jenni Kayne cashmere Fisherman sweater) with affordable pieces, including the *exact* pair of Zara pants that she donned in episode two. You can shop those below, along with two similar styles for less than $110.

I heard that these straight-leg pants are the exact style Markle wore in episode two of her series. Between their high waist, elegant front pleats and light beige hue, I think it's safe to say that these pants really nail her California-cool fashion sense. That said, you can definitely take a high-low approach with your styling by pairing them with cashmere sweaters from your favorite designer brand. (Because, remember, her look also consisted of $1,700 worth of cashmere, and she looked fabulous!) This particular linen-blend piece also has front pockets and faux welt pockets in the back, as well as a front zipper and interior button and hook closure for a totally seamless look.

Prefer a mid-rise and a wide leg? These taupe brown pleated pants have your name written all over them, and they just so happen to have belt loops and an elastic waistband on the back, so you can wear them with high-end tops and designer belts like Markle would. You can also secure the matching vest to complete the look. Either way, you won't regret buying these incredibly versatile and lightweight linen and viscose pants that have an easy, breezy look perfect for spring and summer work days.

These linen-blend pleated pants are very similar to the Markle-approved pair. The only real difference is the metal hook closure (which will help them fit even better) and the ecru hue (which is bound to match with any designer top and accessories). So, if you ask me, you can't go wrong with this flowy style, especially since it's up for grabs for less than $110.

These $50 Zara pants are the perfect base for creating a high-low look. Everything from the style's high-rise waist and adjustable elastic waistband makes them feel totally effortless, while also being super easy to dress up. Whether you're spending the day gabbing with friends à la Markle in her show, or jetting off on a spring or summer getaway, these bottoms will have you looking (and feeling) calm, cool and collected—not to mention ultra comfy.
