Think of it this way: Meghan wore not one, not two, not three, but a whopping four different midi skirts during this four-day trip to meet with Colombia’s Vice President Francia Márquez and, alongside Harry, promote their recent efforts to create digital safeguards online for kids. She wore a sequined number—made by the Colombian designer Silvia Tcherassi—with a sleeveless cotton shirt from Mango, $46; $26; another midi skirt, which featured a green chintz pattern from Colombian designer Juan de Dios, was paired with a Giuliva Heritage ‘Husband’ button-down shirt, $988. (Two additional midi styles, the aforementioned design from Posse and another one from Juan de Dios, were also worn.)

Still, here’s the part I was taking notes on: Each one of Meghan’s tops—from a basic T-shirt to this shell from Argent, $145—could just as easily been worn with jeans. But that simple swap to pair them with a midi skirt gave the look a little something extra, not to mention professionalism and polish for fall.
