A few months ago, I faced the daunting task of packing for my move to London. As an avid traveler, you’d think I’d be a pro at packing light, but honestly, that’s frankly not my strong suit. When I took the time to jot down my international packing list, one thing was non-negotiable: stylish shoes—specifically, comfortable boots. I love dressing up for the fun of it, and given that I never know what life will throw my way (hello, first dates and London Fashion Week), my motto is always to be overprepared and a little overdressed. Funny enough, the everyday sneakers I packed have barely been worn. Instead, I find myself reaching for my Inez Paloma boots ($488), a sleek, effortless and comfortable style that I’ve worn on repeat for nearly every occasion since landing at Heathrow in October.
My Review of the Inez Paloma Boots
Are Inez Boots Actually Comfortable?
Having tried my fair share of heeled boots, from Stuart Weitzman to Sam Edelman to Schutz, often, towering boots with high heels are anything but comfortable; however, I was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly comfortable my Inez boots turned out to be, which I attribute to the brand's exceptional craftsmanship (but more on that in a second). They felt like a perfect, true-to-size fit straight out of the box, offering just enough wiggle room in the toe box to accommodate for any type of sock. Plus, they come with a sturdy block heel that seems to distribute the pressure of the 3-inch boost of height. Even after walking for hours on end on the cobblestones in London, I didn’t get one inkling of a blister. I also appreciate that the boots are available in two sizes—extended calf fit (16-17.5 inches) and standard calf fit (14-15.5 inches)—because I noticed that the design of the 70s-inspired slim shaft doesn’t account for much wiggle room.
Where Are Inez Shoes Made Of?
Made in Spain with a comfort-first philosophy, each design features proprietary plush insoles crafted from layers of advanced foam technology and is lined with luxurious kidskin leather. This combination helps absorb pressure with every step, offering an ultra-soft feel and no break-in period. Additionally, the shoes are equipped with small built-in arch support for enhanced stability and lasting comfort, but people with high arches may want to use inserts.
What I Like
- stylish, ‘70s-inspired design with a softly squared toe box that provides ample wiggle room
- plush proprietary insole is supportive and comfortable for all-day wear
- two calf size fits available
What I Don't Like
- people with high arches may not feel or take comfort in the small arch support
Inez
When you find a pair of shoes that you can reach for time and time again, you know you’ve found a keeper. For me, that’s my Inez Paloma boots. While they’re a pretty pricey investment, retailing for $488, the timeless boots are certainly worth it if you’re looking for a stylish pair of boots that are high-quality, supportive and—above all—comfortable. And if you ask me, knee-high boots are an essential shoe in your capsule wardrobe that’ll see a ton of wear. Trust me, I’ve worn my Inez boots repeatedly for the past two months with suede micro shorts and tights, dresses, skirts and leggings for nights out, a drink at the pub, dinners and more. (In girl math, that’s a win.)
