When putting a look together, where do you start: clothing or jewelry?
“This season especially, I see clothing as the canvas and jewelry as the art. I like to start by choosing my clothing and then searching my jewelry box for the perfect accessories that complete the outfit. Lately I’ve been loving a great pair of statement earrings. Whether I’m dressing for a day at work or a date night, they instantly turn a simple outfit into a showstopper.”
So, you have a big investor meeting coming up. Are there pieces you would consider your “business armor” that make you feel confident no matter what?
“Shoes are definitely a splurge item for me. There’s something about a chic pair of shoes that makes me feel powerful and ready for anything. My favorite brands of the moment are Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik.”
What about mornings when you’re just totally stumped. Do you have a go-to outfit you know you can always fall back on?
“I believe you can never go wrong with a stylish pair of jeans—I love Acne and Current/Elliott—and a crisp white button-down. Then, I simply layer on colorful accessories to create my own stylish look.”
How does your weekend style differ from your typical nine-to-five look?
“As a mother of three boys, my weekend style is much more casual than my typical workday. My go-to weekend wear is boyfriend jeans, delicate jewelry and a stylish pair of sneakers—they’re perfect for chasing my four-year-old around!”
Are there any wardrobe staples you think every woman should own?
“Of course! When it comes to clothing, a classic little black dress and a timeless pair of boots are an absolute must. As for jewelry, I’m a firm believer that no woman’s wardrobe is complete without a few head-turning statement pieces. I recommend one pair of statement earrings you can dress up for day or night, a colorful pendant necklace and some classic layerable styles you can wear with anything.”
