She’s back! Simone Biles, one of the most decorated gymnasts of all time, is making her comeback—and she’s taking us along for the ride.

The 27-year-old teamed up with Netflix to bring viewers Simone Biles Rising, a four-part docu-series that follows her journey back to the Olympics.

The gripping trailer was shared on social media by Biles and not only gives viewers a glimpse into the athlete’s professional career, but also a look at her support system, which includes her NFL hubby Jonathan Owens, and life behind the scenes, noting in the caption that while “she’s the greatest in the world. She’s also human.”

“I’ve always had really good intuition about things and unfortunately I felt that way about the Olympics,” Biles says in the opening of the trailer, reflecting on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and her decision to withdraw from the competition to focus on her mental health.

There’s also a candid moment where the gold medalist is seen wiping away tears as she admits, “So, having these mental blocks in the gym recently.”

Biles also reveals that she’s thought about quitting “500,000 times” but credits the people around her for helping to keep her on track.

And, when it comes to her decision to give it another go on the world stage, she says, “I knew it would be a long journey, but to me it wasn’t done. Sometimes you have to take that power back.”

“I’m going for another Olympic run,” the Texas native says. “I get to write my own ending.”

Since the trailer dropped, Biles has taken her 7.1 million Instagram followers along for the ride as she competes in the 2024 Olympic Team Trials for gymnastics. The trials take place in Minneapolis from June 27 to 30 and she will be one of the 16 female athletes competing.

On Monday, the Olympian shared snapshots of herself where she posed in front of the backdrop for the team trials. She rocked an all brown ‘fit that consisted of Nike Pro shorts and a crew neck sweater, and she stretched her arms wide and bore a big grin on her face.

She left the caption simple, “Olympic trials,” with a chocolate brown heart.

Part 1 of Simone Biles Rising is set to premiere on July 17—and you better believe we will be watching.
