‘Haunting of Hill House’ Fans Will Love the Thrilling New #2 Show on Netflix, ‘Midnight Mass’

Are you a sucker for mind-bending streaming options that provide in countless jump-scares (and sleepless nights)? Well, you’re in luck.

Netflix released an all-new horror series last week, titled Midnight Mass. The seven-episode show is created by Mike Flanagan, who’s the mastermind behind The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor. (Say no more…)

And while we're gearing up for spooky season, it seems we're not the only ones, because Midnight Mass just became the #2 Netflix program in the nation, right behind the extremely popular show Squid Game.

The story takes place in a divided community named Crockett Island, where conflict is aplenty. This dichotomy gets worse when a disgraced man (Zach Gilford) comes back to the area. His return coincides with the arrival of a priest (Hamish Linklater), who’s seemingly responsible for a series of miraculous events.

Midnight Mass also stars Kate Siegel, Annabeth Gish, Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, Rahul Abburi, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Alex Essoe, Rahul Kohli, Kristin Lehman, Robert Longstreet, Igby Rigney and Annarah Shephard.

In addition to his “series creator” credit, Flanagan also directed the show and served as an executive producer alongside Jeff Howard (Gerald’s Game) and Trevor Macy (Doctor Sleep).

The official Netflix synopsis reads, “Midnight Mass tells the tale of a small, isolated island community whose existing divisions are amplified by the return of a disgraced young man and the arrival of a charismatic priest. When Father Paul’s appearance on Crockett Island coincides with unexplained and seemingly miraculous events, a renewed religious fervor takes hold of the community: but do these miracles come at a price?”

We know what we'll be watching this weekend.
