Hoda Kotb is giving us all something uplifting to look forward to this fall. The Today co-anchor just announced her second book, coming October 13.

This Just Speaks to Me: Words to Live By Every Day is a collection of 365 quotes that will be a followup to her first quote book from 2019, I Really Needed This Today. And from what it sounds like, it couldn’t come at a better time.

The 55-year-old journalist announced the book on Today, saying, “Every time you go through a period in your life, different quotes speak to you. We had so many, especially with everything that's happened just in this last year.” Kotb also said her fellow Today anchors Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Carson Daly will all make special appearances in the book.

The new book and its topic shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, since Kotb is known for being an empathetic and inspirational figure herself. Most recently, we saw her tear up on air while interviewing New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees, who pledged $5 million to coronavirus relief in New Orleans, Louisiana, where Kotb lived for many years.

According to TodayThis Just Speaks to Me covers themes of motherhood, friendship, love and loss through favorite quotes and personal stories from and about the important people in Kotb’s life.

“It’s something you can have on your coffee table, pick it up, feel a bit better,” she said (aka it’s just what we need).
