Best Bridesmaid Gifts 2024: Stanley Tumbler, Jewelry Box, Elemis Cleansing Balm, Monogram Makeup Pouch, Bridesmaid Candle
Dasha Burobina for PureWow

The people you choose to stand by your side on your wedding day have been there through it all. Aside from going through life's greatest moments with you, they’re the ones who celebrated your engagement and helped you plan the best bachelorette party ever. Naturally, you want to thank them. Whether you met them in elementary school or became buddy-buddy at your first entry-level job, the best bridesmaid gifts will show them how much you appreciate their friendship—along with all the time (and money) they're putting into being your bridesmaid.

However, it’s important to gift your besties something that they’ll actually use, i.e. not something that screams “bride tribe” (which would no doubt be relegated to the back of their closets immediately afterwards). Instead, I'm talking sentimental and useful items that have a personal touch, from customized bags and stylish jewelry to a luxe beauty buy they wouldn't normally splurge on themselves. Any of these items can be given as part of your bridesmaid proposal, in your bachelorette party goodie bags or as getting ready gifts on the big day.

How I Chose the Best Bridesmaid Gifts

As a resident maid of honor and bridesmaid whose friends all seem to be getting engaged at once, I’ve experienced my fair share of bridal gift-giving and gift-receiving. Needless to say, I have some serious thoughts about what constitutes a good bridesmaid gift. To curate this list of the best options out there, I focused on a number of customized items that are cute and practical, without being cheesy. I also chose items that would be useful during a bachelorette trip or on the morning of the wedding. And because brides typically have more than one bridesmaid in their posse, I made sure that most of the gifts I picked are priced at less than $60, so you can treat the whole crew without breaking the bank.

They've been there to hold your hair back a time or two, so give them something to tie their hair back in style. These little silk scrunchies are designed to be gentle on their strands, and come in an array of pretty colors they'll love. Give everyone their own pack, or split them up amongst your bridesmaids—there are six in a pack, after all.

Skip the mini pack of makeup wipes and gift your gals a rich cleansing balm that won’t leave their skin feeling dry or irritated. I was gifted this popular Elemis one (recently named one of the best cleansing balms on the market by PureWow editors) on a bachelorette trip and it's amazing. With ingredients like Padina Pavonica (a moisture-boosting sea algae), starflower (aka borage) oil and elderberry oil, the formula hydrates skin while magically melting makeup away. These mini 0.7-ounce containers are perfectly travel sized, and ideal for removing makeup long after the reception.

I think we can all agree that bride tribe tops are a bit too cheesy and something your bridesmaids aren’t likely to wear ever again (sorry, not sorry). Instead, opt for these chic ‘tini sweatshirts that'll mark them as a forever member of your social club without being totally cringe. They can be completely customized with your name as well as a city, state and the date, so they make for a classy, cozy keepsake you can use on your bachelorette vacay or during your wedding weekend. And trust me, these cute crewnecks won't end up at the bottom of their pajama drawer anytime soon.

These cute, colorful nylon pouches can be decked out with the felt initials of each of your bridesmaids in a rainbow of hues, giving adult summer camp vibes in the best way. The material is wipeable, making them great for storing makeup and other wedding emergency essentials (which, of course, you can pre-fill them with before gifting). And at 10 inches by 3 inches by 5 inches, they're ideal for travel—your girls can just throw 'em in their carry-ons and go.

For a little bit of luxury, gift your besties an iconic YSL lipstick tube that’s engraved with their names or initials. The customization costs just $5, and you could even add in a cute message up to 14 characters long. Choose from more than a dozen of the brand’s long-lasting shades that will leave lips feeling moisturized for up to 10 hours—no sticky feeling. It’s one lipstick they'll make sure they never lose.

By now you probably know that the Stanley Quencher is the "It" emotional support water bottle of the moment. But did you also know that you can customize the stainless-steel cups with a laser engraving of monograms, text and cute graphics to make it truly theirs? This 40-ounce version of the tumbler is among the brand's most popular for a reason; it holds a ton of water, keeps drinks cold for hours, fits in cup holders and will ensure that your bridesmaids stay hydrated and hangover-free (well, to a point). And with the addition of their own personalized designs, your girls will always know just which one to reach for.

Speaking of hydration, everyone needs some extra electrolytes when a big celebration's on the agenda. These Liquid I.V. drink powders come in a ton of flavors, and feature plenty of electrolytes and vitamins that will help the whole gang bounce back after a particularly boozy night out. Buy a pack and disperse them in their bridesmaid gift bags, and they’ll be sure to thank you later.

Yes, some bridesmaid-branded items are a bit much, but when done right, they can be adorable and sentimental. That’s why I like this darling-yet-discreet friendship bracelet from Little Words Project. The handcrafted, crystal-beaded accessory will remind her of her bridesmaid duties without overdoing it, and she can keep it on as part of her funky arm stack long after the wedding's over.

There's no more fitting time than a wedding to remember the Girl Scout motto: "Always be prepared." And this little pouch certainly rises to the occasion. It's small enough to fit in a purse, but somehow manages to contain everything your bridesmaids (or you) might need on the big day. Seriously, it has 21 must-have items, including hairspray, stain remover, hair elastics, a mending kit, safety pin, dental floss, bandage, bobby pins, pain reliever, antacid, and more. Honestly, you should probably snag one for yourself, too.

Everyone loves a cute pajama set, and getting good-quality matching ones not only makes for great pics while you're all getting ready, but also gives them something they’ll actually sleep in when they get home. This particular short set comes in several different hues (so you can coordinate with your wedding colors) and is made of a breathable bamboo rayon fabric. You can even have the backs customized with their names or initials for a $6 charge.

A classic L.L.Bean tote bag is the perfect thing to hold all their goodies, and the chance to get in on the trend of humorously customized Boat and Totes is too good to pass up. (My personal favorite is my friend’s that says “Hater” in red cursive font.) Whether you go with an inside joke from the bachelorette or their names or monograms, you can bet your BFFs will get good use out of these durable canvas bags that come in an array of colorful trims. They last for years, especially since they can just be tossed into the wash if they need to be cleaned.

These elegant pearl earrings are the perfect way for your bridesmaids to embrace the pearlcore trend on your wedding day. The gold-plated faux pearl studs also feature tiny little diamonds that will make them sparkle (as they deserve to). The gems are timeless, sophisticated and will go with pretty much any style of bridesmaid dress. Plus, they’re pretty budget-friendly given how fancy they look.

IMO, you can’t go wrong with a monogram mug for any gift. It's personal by nature, but this vintage-inspired option from Anthropologie, made from beautifully glazed stoneware, feels even more so. Every initial option has a different motif that’s as special and unique as they are. I especially love the matching detail inside the mug that will make sipping their morning cuppa extra sweet.

Your bridesmaids can really see themselves getting ready for the big day with this sentimental compact mirror. Available in gold, rose gold, silver, black and nude pink, it can be customized with a name and choice of flower, as well as a message or quote on the back about how much they mean to you. Since it's cute, small and meaningful, it's the perfect pick for a bridesmaid proposal box.

Since she’s helping you tie the knot, this knotted initial bracelet is more than appropriate. It comes in gold, rose gold and silver finishes, with a charm of her initial dangling front and center. It's made of waterproof surgical grade stainless steel with 18k gold plating, so it's also something she can wear long after the wedding.

If you ask me, socks don't deserve their reputation for being a boring gift, especially not if we're talking about ones as plush and soft as these. Hear me out: These super cozy socks from Barefoot Dreams feel like slipping into a cloud, and are the next best thing to a spa day for your toes. They’ll ensure your gals won’t get cold feet the morning of the wedding, and are available in three cute colors they'll love padding around the hotel in.

Nothing says "treat yourself" quite like a sheet mask, so give your girls the gift of self-care. This fun variety pack includes a few different formulas that can help hydrate, brighten or soothe their skin. You can split up this pack of ten amongst the whole gang—and possibly keep one for yourself. Heck, you could even all do them together the night before the big day.

Help her smell delightful well beyond your wedding day with this compact rollerball perfume. I was personally gifted this in my MOH proposal box, and I love how light and floral the scent is, as well as the fact that it’s small enough to bring everywhere. Seriously, it’s always in my purse, and its TSA-approved size is perfect for traveling.

Adorable as the bridesmaid-themed label is, your crew will fall in love with this coconut oil candle for the delicious scents alone. You can pick and choose your bridesmaids’ favorites, from herbal rosemary and sage to fittingly festive ones like wedding cake and champagne toast. They'll think of you every time they go to light it.

They've had to alter their schedules over the past few weeks—or even months—to align with your wedding-related plans, so the least you can do is gift your friends something to help them get back on track. This useful wellness journal has 12 weeks' worth of space to track goals, jot down feelings, express gratitude and more. For an extra special touch, you can customize the covers with each person's name and initials.

Half the fun of your wedding day is getting glam and snapping photos with your best friends the morning of—and having matching satin robes on would be picture perfect. You can customize these beauties down to the font and the thread color, but take my advice and skip adding the "bridesmaid" label. Instead, personalize the robes with their own name or initials, so they can wear it around the house, or on vacation, without it looking like they got separated from the rest of the wedding party.

Monogram necklaces are always chic, but this bubble letter option adds some extra pizzazz that can elevate any fit. The thick, wavy letters in 14k gold-plated brass have a groovy look that nods to the '70s, so if you've got a retro wedding vibe going, they'd be totally on-theme. Hand the necklaces out as tokens of your appreciation, and you can bet you'll catch your friends sporting theirs for years to come.

If your bridesmaids are traveling out of town for your wedding day, the least you can do is gift them something to stash their jewelry away. These travel jewelry boxes are available in five pastel color options and can be customized with their name and different flowers. It features spots for rings, earrings and hanging necklaces, so nothing will get tangled before she stands next to you down the aisle.

These glittery bath bombs will give them a little selfcare after a few weeks of wedding shenanigans. Handmade by a pair of sisters, each unicorn bath bomb comes with a surprise inside. And since it comes in an eight pack, you can split them amongst your bridesmaids so they can all enjoy a little luxury at bath time.

Your bridesmaids are your “buds for life,” which is why I think these cute ceramic dishes are perfect gifting. Each one is handcrafted using real flowers pressed into clay, making them truly one of a kind—just like your besties. They can use it to house their favorite jewelry, or any other bridal party trinkets they've received.

Whether she sips on matcha or cold brew throughout the day, she’ll appreciate doing so out of her own custom glass. Each comes with a sealed bamboo lid to prevent spillage and a spot for a straw for easy sipping. Choose from different floral designs, name fonts and frosted or clear glass to best fit your squad.

These long-lasting polishes from Olive and June come in a fun array of colors that are perfect for finishing off their bridesmaid look. From bright Barbiecore hues to more subtle nudes, you’ll find the perfect nail accent. Best of all, the high quality formula will keep nails chip-free, even during a particularly long toast.

Late nights on the dance floor and after-party gossip seshes can wreak some serious havoc on those under-eyes. These depuffing eye masks, made with hyaluronic acid and amino acids, will give them just the boost they need the day after the reception. With 24 pairs in a pack, everyone can get in on the goods, and arrive to the morning-after brunch looking fresh and awake.

After they kick off their dancing shoes, they’ll be happy to slip on these slippers that are guaranteed to bring a smile to their face. The thick cushioned soles are made with memory foam to provide cloudlike comfort, while the fuzzy material is said to be extra cozy, per reviewers. They are available in six different colored retro smiley faces, so you can pick out a different one to best suit each of your girls.

Give them a little something sweet with these iconic bubbly gummy bears. Made with Dom Pérignon Vintage Champagne, these candies really pop thanks to the sweet and tart sugar crystal coating. Trust me, these four cubes won’t last long.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Should You Spend on a Bridesmaid Gift?

Between paying for flights, buying a bridesmaid dress and getting ready for your wedding, your bridesmaids have probably put quite a bit of money into your big day, so it would be nice to treat your bridal party to a few gifts to thank them. Depending on your wedding budget, you can expect to spend anywhere from $75 to $150 per bridesmaid on goodies, according to the wedding experts at Belvedere Banquets. You might also want to spend a bit more on your maid of honor, who has gone the extra mile to help you with planning and then some. Also, consider writing a handwritten thank you card to each person to show your appreciation beyond material items.

What is a Typical Bridesmaid Gift?

A good bridesmaid gift completely depends on your wedding vibe and what your bridesmaids would appreciate. Matching items, like robes and pajamas are always nice, as well as a few small tokens that they’ll be able to use long after the event, like jewelry, personalized travel cases and candles. Some brides might opt to pay for their bridal party’s hair and makeup in lieu of a physical gift, which is also a nice thank you for being a part of your wedding. At the end of the day, just showing your bridesmaids how much you appreciate them is what really matters.
