We are absolutely smitten with the goods and services that these Dallas-based, female-founded companies are providing for our city and beyond. And this roundup only scratches the surface of a lengthy list of ladies that have founded fabulous companies in our city that is chock-full of entrepreneurial spirit. Here’s a small selection of our favorite female-founded Dallas companies right now.

Annie Stull and Emily Johnson are two Dallas moms that met in 2018 through their toddler daughters’ preschool program. The two merged skill sets to form this floral-inspired, table linen company that features items hand sewn right here in Dallas. The company, named after each of their sons, features tablecloths, placemats, napkins and more absolute must-have home décor items for every local hostess with the mostess.

Rae Liu’s passion for product design began to blossom after graduating from FIT when she helped Alexander Wang launch his company. But when she noticed that so many leather goods were lacking in both quality and affordability, she came back to Dallas to build this beautiful brand with her family and the rest, as they say, is history. These leather goods with their signature debossed personalization are a beloved staple in both men and womens wardrobes all around town, from college students to stylish senior citizens and everyone in between.

Talk about a sweet story! This chef took her love of chocolate professional after years of culinary and pastry experiences at places like California Culinary Academy, Nobu, Stephen Pyles and Chocolate Secrets. She launched her eponymous business in 2014 and now her hand painted chocolates can be spotted at fancy galas, intimate dinner parties and in Christmas stockings all around town. She also has two shops both in Trinity Groves and NorthPark Center.

Dallasites Lauren Mize and Lamar McKinley recently launched this swoon-worthy site with a curated selection of looks for vacation (think: swimwear, clothing, accessories and beauty by brands like Fisch, Peony, Alemais and more). The Casa serves as the Dallas showroom and distribution center, however, the brand plans to host pop-ups around the country. The inner jet setters in us all are freaking out at this one-stop-shop for vacation styling and most definitely is a reason to book our next trip. (Girl math, anyone?)

Christina Lynch’s mission was simple—to share the beauty of Mexico. This company, founded in 2013 in Dallas, partners with over 850 artisans from all over Mexico who are receiving fair wages for their impeccable craftsmanship. Featuring dresses, blouses, skirts and more, these threads are now a popular staple in many Dallasites’ closets and a beautiful nod to Lynch’s heritage through priceless pieces of wearable art.

Walking into this permanent makeup studio, you are instantly uplifted. Boss babe Nicole Blankenship has worked tirelessly to sharpen her skill set as one of the top talents in the area. Her specialty? Brows, including 3D microblading, blade x shade combo and powder brows. She also does lip blushing and so much more. Want an appointment? So does everyone else! Patience is key but speaking from experience we know that it’s so, so worth the wait!

These boot scootin’ beauties were born into the ranch life and decided to better western wear forever because of it.  Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means design bespoke boots made in both Mercedes, Texas, and León, Mexico by master artisans. Customers can choose to buy ready-made boots or go through the concierge design service to make the boots as original as they’d like. Sip a ranch water with the knowledgably staff in the gorgeous Highland Park Village boutique. Not from Dallas? The sisters also now have stores in Aspen, Houston and Palm Beach.

Wine lovers all over Dallas raised a glass when owner Michelle Bonds opened this delightful wine shop in Preston Center in 2020. The selection of wines is painstakingly placed on the shelf and the knowledgeable staff is ready to give great suggestions whether you are shopping for yourself or need that perfect bottle of bubbles for a girlfriend who likes a dry pour in a pretty bottle.

This delightful events service is the place to go for philanthropic fetes with flowers for days, big birthday celebrations with balloons and entertainment galore, and intimate dinner parties lit by candles with laughter and clinking of wine glasses as the evening’s soundtrack. In a party town with a list of planners a mile long, Missy Peck (along with her wing woman Medley Turner), have managed to become the cream rising to the top of a very big glass of Dallas party planners. We love that despite Peck’s ability to transform the most boring of spaces into the Taj Mahal, she’s also a down to earth mom and wife who can shoot the breeze with the best of us at school pick up.

Founder Merrimac Dillon studied sleep and created this company to offer a customized way for consumers to find the perfect pillow. Now owned by mother-of-three Connie Babikian, the baton has been passed to another woman who takes pride in female-founded and female-ran businesses. This Dallas-based brand offers an elite assortment of pillows and great sleep-encouraging goods to make your zzz’s go from basic to ballin’ in no time. And while we swear by the Dr. Mary Side Sleeper Pillow, we are currently coveting the Daydream Down Robe.

Dr. Kamilia Smith is rethinking the way women see their gynecologist’s office, and maybe you should too. Located in a charming house just on the edge of Old East Dallas, this concierge medical practice has a modern approach to treating women. The waiting room is cozy like a living room and the care is catered to your individual needs. Dr. Smith doesn’t make you feel rushed, and even has a space for you to take a quick call or shoot a quick email if you find yourself in a bind while visiting. She recently launched Charleston House Too that specifically caters to college and high school aged girls to take the awkward moments out of GYN care.

This digital platform for gifting on the go is the app that we never knew we needed... but thankfully owner Sarah-Allen Preston did. After her own personal experiences left her desperate to show gratitude to people who helped her through some of her harder times in life but without the time to do it, Preston thought of this platform.
