Selena Gomez is opening up about how her mental health struggles have impacted her relationship with her own home, and it's pretty eye-opening.

Speaking at Wondermind’s Mental Fitness Summit for World Mental Health Day on October 10, the 32-year-old singer and Only Murders in the Building actress revealed she no longer sleeps in her own bedroom because it brings back memories of some of her darkest moments.

"I spent too much time in my bedroom that I actually don’t even sleep in my bedroom anymore," she shared. "I associate it with such a really dark time."

Gomez got real about how anxiety played a huge role in those tough moments.

"Being anxious is so debilitating sometimes," she said. "I didn’t want to leave my bed for years, and part of it was that I wasn’t doing the work. You have to believe in yourself and do the work that will truly enlighten you a little bit."

The Rare Beauty founder also chatted about how building a small, trusted support system has been key to managing her mental health.

“I don’t have a lot of people in my life. I know who my inner circle is,” she explained. “I have to talk things out. And I have a therapist too, but it’s also nice to have people around you who will just listen. There’s a freedom in letting go of whatever it is that’s keeping you stuck.”

Gomez is no stranger to opening up about her mental health journey. In 2022, she dropped the documentary My Mind & Me, where she revealed she struggled with psychosis and bipolar depression. Recently, she also spoke out about her inability to have children and why she chose to share that personal detail.

"I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help," she said, adding, "Yeah, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I shared that I have bipolar. F–k off. That’s what my life is. That’s who I am."
