Sarah Jessica Parker Revives Iconic Carrie Bradshaw Look on 'And Just Like That...' Set

Talk about a blast from the past

Ever get that déjà vu feeling when scrolling through pics of Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of And Just Like That...? Well, you're not alone. If SJP’s latest outfit has you thinking, “Wait, haven’t I seen this before?”—you have.

While filming season 3 of the Sex and the City reboot in NYC on August 28, Parker brought back a blast from the early 2000s, straight from the show's iconic fashion archives.

This time around, she rocked a vintage Chanel blouse from Karl Lagerfeld's era, featuring a colorful pattern with the brand’s signature “CC” logo inside a heart. To amp up the retro vibes, she paired it with a high-waisted purple skirt all while rocking her signature curly, half-up, half-down hairstyle, hoop earrings and, in true Carrie fashion, some candy-colored sandal heels.

If you’re wondering where you’ve seen that fabulous blouse before, it made its first appearance on Carrie Bradshaw back on September 24, 2000, in the episode “Hot Child in the City.” Carrie originally styled it with tie-dye purple capris, a turquoise bandana and some vibrant ankle-strap pumps.

Journalist Evan Ross Katz acknowledged the iconic moment on social media, sharing a side-by-side of Parker in both versions of the outfit.

“IMPORTANT: 24 years after making its debut on Season 3 of SATC, Sarah Jessica Parker is back in the Chanel SS00 blouse — an all-time favorite Carrie look amongst many fans (me included),” he captioned the August 29 post.

“Five years before Valerie Cherish got harangued for wearing her Jay McCarroll backwards at the People’s Choice Award, Ms. Bradshaw made waves by wearing this multi-colored sheer blouse backwards at lunch with the girls and then to St. Mark’s Comics where she first made eyes at (and later bong rips with) Wade “Power Lad” Adams,” the caption continued. “Historic, to say the least.”

SJP has been giving us all the behind-the-scenes goodness from And Just Like That… season 3 on her Instagram. Earlier this summer, she shared a carousel of snaps, serving up another effortlessly fabulous look: a black and white pant jumpsuit, jean jacket and, of course, black pumps. To top it off, she added a turquoise statement necklace, stud earrings, and pulled her hair back in a loose low ponytail with wavy face-framing pieces.

She even posted a video where she twirled around with pure joy before strutting off-camera. The caption? “@justlikethatmax Day 17 Harlem, NY. X, SJ.”
