Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, is giving royal fans a festive treat just in time for the holiday season. On Monday, December 9, Spencer took to social media to share a glimpse of the Christmas decorations at Althorp House, the Spencer family’s ancestral home and Diana’s childhood residence.

In the photo, a show-stopping Christmas tree takes center stage, sparkling with twinkling lights and elegantly adorned ornaments that exude holiday magic. Nestled under its lower branches, a stack of perfectly wrapped presents adds to the festive scene. The tree is set in Althorp’s stunning saloon, where grand paintings line the walls, and the surrounding space feels delightfully cozy, complete with plush sofas, warm table lamps, elegant chandeliers and inviting footstools.

Alongside the snapshot, Spencer shared a simple message, "Happy Christmas to you, from @althorphouse."

Princess Diana spent much of her youth at Althorp House, moving there with her siblings in 1975 when their father inherited the earldom. Today, Althorp remains deeply tied to Diana’s legacy—it’s where she is laid to rest, on a serene island in the estate’s Oval Lake.

Spencer is no stranger to sharing about the home and his family. He frequently shares nostalgic glimpses into his family’s history. In fact, in October, he posted a throwback photo of his parents from the early 1960s, captioning it, “For many years, they were passionately in love: I’ve never seen love letters so beautiful and spontaneous.”

Before that, he shared a rare photograph of his father, John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer, seated at a desk with pen in hand. Spencer reflected in the caption, “I’d never seen this photograph of my father before today. I love him being captured pen-in-hand—he had beautiful handwriting: measured and handsome, in dark blue ink. A very evocative image.”

With each post, Charles Spencer not only spreads holiday cheer but also preserves the memory of Diana and their family’s rich history.
