Birthday wishes are in order for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s daughter, Princess Charlotte.
Today, the Prince (40) and Princess of Wales (41) released a never-before-seen photo of Princess Charlotte in honor of her eighth birthday on May 2. The picture was taken by Princess Catherine, who moonlights as an amateur photographer.
The picture features Princess Charlotte sitting in a white wicker chair and wearing a white dress with colorful flowers. The photo was seemingly taken while she was moving, based on the movement of her hair and hands.
The caption read, “Wishing Princess Charlotte a very happy birthday! 8 tomorrow [balloon emoji] [cake emoji].”
The resemblance between Princess Charlotte and her parents is uncanny. Everything from her brown hair to her cheeky smile is reminiscent of her parents, especially when compared to the photo Prince William and Princess Catherine released for their 12th wedding anniversary.
Princess Charlotte’s birthday portrait comes about one week after Prince William and Princess Catherine released never-before-seen photos of their youngest child, Prince Louis, in honor of his 5th birthday on April 23.
The pics (which were taken by Millie Pilkington) showed Princess Catherine pushing Prince Louis in a wheelbarrow. The young royal looked so grown up in both photos, but the second one offered a rare closeup of Prince Louis. The caption read, “Someone’s turning 5 tomorrow… A very happy birthday to Prince Louis.”
