Prince William was captured walking alone in a striking new snapshot from a recent public event.
The Prince of Wales traveled to Portsmouth, England, on June 5 to attend a commemorative ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. A photo shared on social media by the royal family shows the prince from behind as he walks on stage alone. Stage lights and a crowd await him as his tall six-foot-three frame is seen in a deep navy blue suit with the white collar of his shirt visible.
“Today we remember the bravery of those who crossed this sea to liberate Europe,” read the caption of the June 6 post. “Those who ensured that Operation Overlord was a success. And those who waited for their safe return.”
