Camera Captures Striking Photo of Prince William Standing Alone—But Fans Are All Calling Out the Same Strange Thing

Some might say he looks angelic

Prince William just paid a visit to Scotland, and as usual, he looked dashing (the beard is back, people). But there’s another little detail from the event that has everyone buzzing.

On Wednesday, September 19, the Prince of Wales, 42, attended an event hosted by Homewards Aberdeen, and in one particular photo, he’s snapped standing solo. Thanks to the camera angle, a circular light fixture on the ceiling lines up perfectly above his head, making it look like he has a literal halo.

The strangeness of his halo photo aside, Prince William ventured to the northern country to thank Aberdeen’s homelessness organizations for their amazing work, as part of his Homewards initiative. The five-year project, which launched last year, is part of the royal's efforts to end homelessness across the U.K.

Alongside a short video clip explaining the celebration, the official X account of the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote, "Great to be here in Aberdeen to join Anu and the rest of the @HomewardsUK team to celebrate those working to tackle homelessness in Scotland."

But let's get back to the real hot topic—Prince William’s beard. After teasing fans by growing it out on holiday in August and then shaving it off weeks later, the beard made a grand return this month. The question is, is it sticking around for good or is this just a seasonal thing? Either way, fans are living for it—and we’re guessing Kate Middleton is too.

Speaking of Kate, Prince William’s Scotland visit comes just days after she got back to work herself. The Princess of Wales, 42, returned to her royal duties on September 17 with a meeting for The Early Years Initiative, which focuses on helping kids thrive. It was her first big event after wrapping up preventative chemotherapy treatments earlier this month.

Looks like the royal duo are keeping busy.
