After a whirlwind romance, engagement, wedding, two kids and a big move from the U.K. to the U.S., Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spent the last four years living the California dream. But could a big move back across the pond be on the horizon?

According to the Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly bought a new home overseas. And no, they’re not heading back to their royal roots in the U.K. This time, they’ve set their sights on Portugal.

According to the report, this real estate splurge in Portugal could lead to Markle applying for a Golden Visa, which would give her access to travel across 26 European countries (think Italy, Spain, Greece—yes, please) with no restrictions.

This news comes nearly two years after Prince Harry and Markle were asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage, their former U.K. residence on the Windsor Castle grounds, which had been their home base since they tied the knot in 2018.

Also per the report, this isn't a permanent residence but rather a vacation home. And while Portugal isn’t exactly England, it’s still close to family.

Princess Eugenie (aka Prince Harry's cousin) and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, own a luxe property just south of Lisbon, in the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club. The royal couple splits their time between London and Portugal with their two little boys, August, 3, and Ernest, 1.

And since Princess Eugenie is all about sharing sweet family moments on social media, who knows? Maybe having the Duke and Duchess of Sussex nearby means we’ll get some rare glimpses of their kids, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, in the mix.

Fingers crossed.
