A previously shared montage of old family photos, gifted to us by the royal family (they know what we love to see), revealed a level of generational twinning that no one truly realized until now. Among the throwback selection—ranging from 1948 childhood photos to his young family life to present day—were some classic 1976 shots of Prince Charles with a beard.

Yep, at one point the Prince rocked facial hair, and now no one can get over the striking, endearing, undeniable resemblance between him and his son, Prince Harry.
First noticed by Express, royals fans have gotten a huge kick out of the likeness, especially considering that Prince Charles hasn't sported facial hair at any other time in his public life.
According to Marie Claire, the photos were taken at the Badminton Horse Trials in April and May of 1976.
