Paris Hilton has worn many hats throughout her career—reality TV star, DJ, author, entrepreneur—you name it. And just when you think she’s done it all, she surprises again. That certainly stands true with her latest project—a deep dive into the world of true crime. Hilton just announced My Friend Daisy, a limited true-crime podcast that she’s executive producing.

Earlier today, Hilton took to social media to share a teaser for the project, writing, “What if one heartbreaking case could illuminate the power of social media in the fight for justice? I’m so proud to introduce My Friend Daisy—a powerful new true-crime podcast that captured my heart from the moment I heard Daisy’s story. As the executive producer, I’m honored to team up with my company @11.11media & @IHeartRadio to give Daisy the platform she deserves.”

The podcast, hosted and written by journalist Jenn Swann, tells the tragic story of Daisy De La O, who was murdered outside her Compton apartment. When authorities had yet to make an arrest, her friends and family turned to social media to raise awareness—ultimately sparking an international manhunt. The ten-part series will explore how Daisy’s case went viral, the role amateur detectives played in tracking down a suspect and the growing trend of communities using social media as a tool for justice.

While Hilton’s move into true crime might seem unexpected, it actually aligns with her recent activism. She played a key role in advocating for the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act, which successfully passed both the House and Senate and has even hinted at a future in politics.

“After coming here so many times over the past couple of years and seeing that my voice really can make a difference… I can maybe see that happening,” she previously told The Hill.

My Friend Daisy will be available on all podcast platforms starting March 26.
