Paris Hilton just dropped the ultimate Y2K throwback and fans (myself included) are here for it.

The media personality and businesswoman recently shared a super iconic photo on Instagram that instantly transported fans back to the golden age of tabloids and paparazzi frenzy. The picture in question? A paparazzi shot from November 2006 featuring Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan all piled into a car together, looking like the definition of “it girls.”

Hilton is behind the wheel, while Spears and Lohan sit in the passenger seat, flashing their biggest smiles. The image is a snapshot of a moment that came to define an entire era of pop culture—and nearly two decades later, it still feels like the ultimate throwback.

However, (maybe due to that time difference) I noticed something striking about the trio: They look so genuinely happy. It’s not just joy or contentment—it seems like that real, carefree happiness we all try to hold onto once life, family and adulting start throwing curveballs.

The 43-year-old socialite reflected on the significance of the photo in her caption, writing, “18 years ago today, this photo became the moment that defined an era.” She tagged both Spears and Lohan, referring to them as “the Holy Trinity” of pop culture in the November 27 Instagram post.

Naturally, the internet couldn’t contain its excitement. Fellow celebs like Rich Kids of Beverly Hills alum Morgan Stewart, E! News host Justin Sylvester and Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi jumped into the comments. Stewart declared, "The kids will never know!!!!!!" while Snooki wrote, “To be in that car." Sylvester added, “There will NEVER be a more iconic moment in pop culture history.” Hilton’s mother, Kathy Hilton, also joined the nostalgia train with a series of red heart emojis under the photo.

The comments from fans flooded in as well, with many declaring that the trio had “raised an entire generation” and calling them “the holy trio of pop culture.”

This isn’t the first time Hilton has reflected on this now-legendary moment. Back in 2021, she spoke about it on her This Is Paris podcast, noting how much had changed since the photo was taken. She mentioned how the three stars have all grown and evolved, with Hilton getting married, Spears regaining her freedom and Lohan finding love again.

And, of course, Hilton has shared more throwbacks over the years, including a nostalgic selfie with Spears in 2022, where she wrote, “17 years ago, Britney and I created the selfie!"

Keep the throwbacks coming, Paris!
