Anderson shared her gratitude in a moving statement shared on social media.

"I'm truly grateful, overwhelmed... and blessed to wake up this morning to this exciting news," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "I share this beautiful nomination with The Last Showgirl Family, my family, and my hard working companions on this interesting journey."

Anderson also thanked Roadside Productions, a production company and film distributor, adding, "It truly is a team effort." She ended her note with an uplifting message: “It is never too late to dream, to start again, to stay open to possibilities—we are not all so lucky. Love, Pamela.”

The Last Showgirl, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, stars Anderson as Shelley, a veteran performer who faces the end of her 30-year stage show and must reinvent herself in a modern entertainment world. The film’s all-star cast also includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, Billie Lourd, and Jason Schwartzman.

The movie hits select U.S. theaters on December 13, 2024, with a wider release on January 10, 2025. Fans won’t have to wait that long to see if Anderson takes home the award because the Golden Globes will air on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
