It’s Official: Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Are Invited to King Charles's Coronation

Great news, royal fans! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have officially been invited to King Charles’s coronation, which will take place at Westminster Abbey this spring.

Per The Sunday Times, a spokesperson has confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received an invitation to the upcoming event via email. The representative said, "I can confirm The Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty's office regarding the coronation." But here's what we really want to know: Did they RSVP "yes" or "no"?

Unfortunately, those details haven't been revealed just yet. The rep said, "An immediate decision on whether the duke and duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time."

It's rather interesting timing, given that the news comes just days after the royal couple was asked to vacate their former U.K. residence, Frogmore Cottage. It seemed that the odds of Prince Harry and Markle attending the historic coronation were slim to none. But in January, when asked if he would go, Prince Harry hinted that he was still open having an honest discussion with the rest of the royal family to clear to air.

While speaking with ITV's Tom Bradby in January, he said, "There's a lot that can happen between now and then. But, you know, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There's a lot to be discussed, and I really hope that they are willing to sit down and talk about it."

It appears that King Charles is ready to step up to the challenge, because according to Vanity Fair, he's ready to "move on."

The source told to outlet, “Charles is a forgiving person by nature, and he wants to move on. Whatever has been said and done, Harry is still his son and he loves him. He also cannot imagine being crowned, the most important moment of his life, without both his sons witnessing the moment.”

So, will the king get his wish? Guess we'll have to wait until on May 6...
