Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have kicked off their Valentine’s Day celebrations a little early during their trip to Canada.
After a busy day supporting the Invictus Games, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted enjoying a cozy dinner at the Italian restaurant Il Caminetto in Whistler on February 10, Town & Country reports. But they weren’t dining alone—joining them for the evening were singer Michael Bublé and his wife, actress Luisana Lopilato.
Bublé, a proud Canadian, has been a vocal supporter of the Invictus Games. After their night out, he took to social media to share his love for the scenic location, writing, “Spent the day with my beautiful wife, in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Whistler BC. We love this place and to think it’s just 90 minutes from home is unreal.”
For the intimate evening, Markle added a subtle nod to the romantic holiday with her accessories. According to Town & Country, she rewore a pair of diamond earrings from Maya Brenner, a gift from Harry on Valentine’s Day last year. The jeweler has a special connection to the couple—back in December 2016, shortly after their relationship was confirmed, the Suits alum was photographed wearing a Maya Brenner necklace featuring “H” and “M” initial charms. She completed her look with a chic Carolina Herrera cape and her go-to Aquazzura pumps, swapping out her snow gear for something more date-night appropriate.
With the Invictus Games continuing until February 16, Markle has since returned to California to be with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But before she left, their connection was on full display. As pointed out by PureWow editor Chelsea Candelario, who sifted through countless photos from the trip, Markle was often seen gazing at Prince Harry lovingly, particularly in one close-up shot where she looked up at him as he spoke.
Body language expert and human lie detector Darren Stanton previously analyzed their interactions, noting (on behalf of Betfair Live Casino), “We’ve seen Meghan observing Harry from the sidelines while he’s focused and concentrating—and she’s looked at Harry adoringly and displayed feelings of pride and comfort. It’s shown that Meghan is proud to be Harry’s wife, and he continues to impress her five years after they got married.”
