Lizzo and her beau, Myke Wright, just made their “hard launch” on social media and we couldn’t be happier for her.
That’s right. The 34-year-old musician made her relationship official on Instagram by sharing pics on her page, showing the couple in attendance at Clive Davis’s pre-Grammys gala in Beverly Hills, California.
In the first photo of the slideshow, the “Truth Hurts” singer wows in a black-to-blue dress designed by Alexander McQueen, and her boyfriend—who looks quite dapper in a black suit and bowtie—stands right by her side and gives her a loving embrace. Lizzo kept the caption short and sweet, writing, “Hard Launch,” alongside the face exhaling emoji.
So many of her celebrity friends flocked to the comments section to send congratulatory messages to the happy couple. Singer Kehlani wrote, “BEEN WAITIN,” with so many red-heart-eyed emojis. Lori Harvey commented, “We love a hard launch.” Even singer and songwriter SZA couldn’t get enough of the cute couple, writing, “A doll and her Ken.”
And the pair went on to make their grand debut at the 65th annual Grammy Awards, where Lizzo took home the award for Record of the Year for her song “About Damn Time.” During her acceptance speech, the singer took the opportunity to dedicate her award to the late artist Prince. While overcome with emotion, she said, “When we lost Prince, I decided to dedicate my life to making positive music.”
