Kerry Washington Posts Adorable Throwback of Her Parents From Their Wedding Day

They say you inherit your looks from your parents, but it seems that Kerry Washington inherited her good style from her parents, too. In a new Instagram post, the Little Fires Everywhere actress shared a throwback of her mom and dad, Earl and Valerie Washington, in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary in order to show off how good her parents looked at their nuptials.

The picture sees Kerry's parents looking at one another and smiling, and dad's arm wrapped around her mom. The bride sports a white, crocheted gown, while the groom is seen in a velvet maroon tux. Along with the vintage snap, Kerry wrote, “50 years ago today. Happy Anniversary Mom + Dad!!!! (who are not on Instagram but I really just wanted to brag about how DOPE my parents looked at their wedding [laughing emojis]).”

Fellow celebs sent their well-wishes to the happy couple, including actress Brenda Strong, who wrote, “Amazing!!!” Marlon actress Essence Atkins wrote, “Wow. So beautiful. Happy 50th Anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Washington,” and Priyanka Chopra commented with a heart-eyed emoji.

While we don't often get major throwbacks like these from the Scandal star, we have seen glimpses of her parents on her account in the past. Last December, the 45-year-old star shared a snap of her mom in honor of her birthday, writing, “Happy Birthday to this goddess, my hero, the epitome of grace and generosity, my Mom.”

Meanwhile, Kerry shared a comical video with her father only a few months back, in which the pair lip-synced an audio of a conversation that took place between Kris and Kendall Jenner.

Congrats to Kerry's parents on 50 years!
