Kelly Ripa Brings Back Her Stylish Black Glasses in Twinning Moment with Bestie Rachael Harris

Kelly Ripa has been fairly quiet on social media since the New Year began, but she just uploaded a series of photos to her Instagram Story in honor of her two friends' birthdays. And while we're loving these rare shots of Ripa with her besties, we couldn't help but notice that the Live with Kelly and Ryan host is changing up her look by bringing back one of her most iconic accessories: her black reading glasses.

Although the 51-year-old talk show host usually wears contacts, she debuted the eyewear in fall 2020, when she wore the black specs on an episode of Live. In a video that was shared to Instagram, Ripa was heard jokingly saying, “I’ve been happy not wearing [my glasses]. It’s happier just not to see what's happening to me personally.”

Now, it seems these chic frames are making a comeback. To wish her good friend, Rachael Harris, a happy birthday, Ripa posted a snap where she is seen twinning with the actress. In the photo, they each don a pair of thick, black eyeglasses. “Happy birthday,” Ripa wrote over the photo.

This wasn't the only photo where Ripa was seen in her specs. Among the series of snaps she posted for Harris, the two were seen twinning yet again in a throwback New Year's Eve pic (where Ripa's son, Michael, is seen in the background with his old bleach blonde 'do).

But that wasn't the only birthday Ripa celebrated. She also used her Story to honor another pal, Elsa Collins. And once again, Ripa was seen sporting her glasses in a photo, where the two are seen smiling during the middle of a FaceTime call.

We're so glad to see Kelly's stylish eyewear is making a well-deserved comeback.
