Kate Middleton is having a major moment on TikTok and it’s all thanks to a witty comment she made back in 2013 that’s resurfaced and gone viral.
Recently, a TikTok user shared a throwback clip from the Princess of Wales’s royal visit to Grimsby. In the video, Kate is seen warmly greeting fans when one enthusiastic well-wisher tells her, "I'm waiting for you to be queen!" Without missing a beat, Kate, with her signature grace, replies, "You'll be waiting an awfully long time!"
The post has since racked up over 127K views, with fans flooding the comments to praise Kate's quick wit. "She’s already the queen of my heart," one person wrote. Another added, "Her personality is fantastic! Catherine was born for this role." A third simply noted, "She is incomparable."
Back in 2013, with Queen Elizabeth II still reigning, Kate's ascension to the role of queen consort seemed a distant prospect. Fast forward to today, following the Queen’s passing in September 2022, and the landscape has changed: King Charles III now sits on the throne, making Prince William the next in line.
But that’s not the only reason royal watchers are buzzing. Kensington Palace recently dropped their ‘August Rewind’ on Instagram, showcasing a series of highlights from the month, including charitable endeavors, a special nod to Team Great Britain and Prince William’s new beard.
In one video, Princess Catherine congratulates Team GB on their Olympic achievements, while Prince William adds his own words of praise. Yet, it wasn’t the sports accomplishments that lit up the comment section—it was Prince William’s rugged new look. One fan summed it up perfectly: "William is really in vacation mode."
Though the video was meant to celebrate British athletes, it’s clear that Prince William’s summer scruff stole the spotlight. However, these days the Prince of Wales is sporting a different look.
