Justin Timberlake Postpones Tour Dates, But It's the Fan Reactions That Are Stealing the Show

They're all saying the same thing

Justin Timberlake is taking the saying "health is wealth" to heart.

On Tuesday, October 22, the “SexyBack” singer, 43, shared on Instagram that he’s had to postpone more shows on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour due to some serious health issues.

“Hey guys — I haven't been feeling great the last few shows, and it turns out I have bronchitis and laryngitis,” Timberlake wrote in his post. “I'm so sorry to say I do need to reschedule the next few shows from 10/23 through 11/2. Thank you for understanding — I'll make it up to you.”

The six affected shows include stops in Chicago, Grand Rapids, Michigan; Detroit; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Columbus, Ohio. Don’t worry, though—all of these dates have been rescheduled to between February 14 and February 27, and previously purchased tickets will be honored. Refunds are also available through the point of purchase, and more tickets can be snagged on Ticketmaster.

While the postponement would naturally be disappointing to any fan, the comments section is what really was surprising. Expecting to find a pack of unhappy fans complaining, to my surprise, it actually was largely made up of nothing but support for the Trolls star.

One supportive fan wrote, “Your health comes first. Feel better soon. We’ll be here,” while another chimed in, “Gotta protect that beautiful voice of yours.”

Another comment reflected on illnesses going around, writing, “We had like 3 sick calls today at work, and I know someone who is super sick. Something is going around for sure. Feel better!”

Some fans even noticed Timberlake had been under the weather during previous performances, with one stating, “Could tell you were fighting through it the last 3 shows. Thanks for still giving us your all for some spectacular nights!”

And, interestingly, one ticket holder seemed to welcome the postponement, pointing out how the new date lands on the perfect holiday: “Valentine’s Day in Chicago with JT sounds like a great idea actually.”

This announcement follows Timberlake's earlier postponement of a Newark, New Jersey, show earlier this month due to an injury.

“I'm so sorry to postpone tonight's show,” he said at the time. “I have an injury that is preventing me from performing. I'm so disappointed to not see you all — but I'm working to reschedule ASAP.” The show was rescheduled for October 15.
