Julia Roberts Posts a Rare Personal Photo for Her Anniversary and It’s #CoupleGoals

She was a late arrival to Instagram (member since June 2018!), but Julia Roberts is crushing the app with a swoon-worthy picture where she’s kissing her husband Danny Moder. Captioned “18 years #heckyes,” the picture shows Moder staring sweetly and slightly dazedly into the camera.

It’s a fitting tribute to a partnership that has spanned four presidents, three children and multiple blockbuster hits for Roberts. The 52-year-old star told The Sun in 2016 that her husband, who she married on July 4, 2002 on her 40-acre ranch in New Mexico, was a major turning point in her life. (Previously, she’d had high-profile romances with actors including Jason Patric, Liam Neeson, Kiefer Sutherland and Matthew Perry.) “I give Danny a lot of credit,” she said of her husband. “He really shined the light for me. He makes me feel my most comfortable self.”

The Smyrna, Georgia-raised actor lives with Moder and their three children in a home in Malibu, which for all its glamorous connotation still has the atmosphere of a small town (albeit one populated with multi-millionaires living in mansions). Twins Phinnaeus and Hazel are 14 and Henry is 11, and Roberts is a hands-on parent, who along with her husband, takes pains to keep their kids out of the public eye (although the rare whole-family selfie for Mother’s Day by her proud hubby still gets out).

Roberts’s sweet post is all the more remarkable as it comes after after being quarantined together. Still romantic after 18 years? That sounds like the third act in a romantic comedy with a very happy ending.
