The couple that plays together, stays together

Chrissy Teigen is back at it again, proving once more that she’s the queen of playful trolling when it comes to her husband, John Legend.

Legend, 45, took the stage at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday, August 22 and absolutely crushed his performance of Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” with Sheila E.

But before he hit the stage, Teigen, 38, had one simple (yet hilarious) request for her hubby: she asked him to tug on his ear at any point during the performance.

Naturally, the Cravings author couldn’t keep this to herself and shared her request with her followers on Instagram Stories ahead of the big moment. She even joked, “If he doesn’t… I’m out.”

Fast forward to after the show, and guess what? Legend totally forgot. Teigen spilled the tea by posting a screenshot of their text convo, where she called him out: “Not a single ear was tugged.” Legend’s response? “Oh my god I completely lost it.”

Teigen, being the supportive (and cheeky) wife she is, complimented his performance, saying he “did a good job,” but she didn’t miss the chance to remind him of the consequences. “Too bad it won’t matter to our children,” she quipped.

She also added a bit of shade over the screenshot, writing, “Wowowow couldn’t have been more clear. Took all of 4 mins to forget.”

This isn’t the first time Teigen has had some fun at Legend’s expense. Back in April, when the 12-time Grammy winner posted a sweet birthday message for their older daughter, Luna, calling her “the best daughter,” Teigen jumped in to remind him that, oh yeah, they have two daughters. “Just read this to Esti,” she joked.

Teigen and Legend are parents to four kids: Luna, 8, Miles, 6, and one-year-olds Esti and Wren.
