The kitchen is the nexus of your home. But if you’re anything like us, it’s also the place where all your loose cords, broken kids’ toys and unpaid bills end up. (ICYMI, 2024 is the year that designers are ditching the infamous junk drawer.) Never fear, because we can always count on TikTok to show us organizational hacks we didn’t know we needed. Think: viral cookie sheet organizers and Nespresso pod dispensers to editor-approved drying racks that free up counter space you didn’t know you had. So below, we rounded up the 10 best TikTok hacks to streamline everything in your kitchen.

The most surprising trend 2024 has brought us (so far)? Cookie sheet organizers. Houzz’s 2024 Kitchen Trends Study, which polled more than 3,400 people, found that “cookie sheet organizers” were one of the fastest-growing, most desired additions to the heart of people’s homes. So, we headed to TikTok to see this user’s solution: Wire dividers. If you have the cabinet space, it’s pretty self-explanatory—you stack your cookie sheets vertically in each wire slot, making it easy to grab what you need. No avalanches of baking sheets, and you can even throw your cutting boards, sauté pans and lids in there, too.

2. Mount a Tumbler Lid Organizer

Amazon

Obsessed with your Stanley Tumbler? (*Raises hand.*) We’ve amassed quite a few of these bad boys in different colors and sizes—and we have yet to find a system that keeps them neatly organized in our cabinets. Enter: This simple yet brilliant TikTok. You basically take the lids of the tumbler and hang them from an adhesive cabinet mount—which comes with double-sided tape and mounting hardware—to prevent unnecessary clutter. What’s more, you can take it a step further by adding a water bottle and straw holder underneath to keep everything in one place.

3. And a Paper Plate Dispenser

Amazon

We love the idea of giving temporary plates a permanent home—and after scrolling through the comment section of this TikTok, we’re running to add a bamboo plate dispenser to our cart. It holds up to 30 plates—with the choice of an 8.5-inch, 9-inch, 10-inch or 12-inch holder—and it’s easy to mount under the cabinet with a drill or included adhesive tape. In fact, many reviewers are raving over how well it sticks without screws: “I attached it using the adhesive only and it feels secure—not at all worried about it peeling off. The seller also includes way more double-sided tape than necessary, which is really nice.”

4. Use an Over-The-Sink Drying Rack

POV: You need more counter space. That’s what this TikTok user writes before unveiling the beautiful Food52 drying rack, which scored 95 points out of 100 in a PureWow100 review. “A retractable screen that fits over half my sink, so I can quickly wash a few items then place them immediately to my left to rinse and drip-dry, without getting my counters wet. Then, after the dishes are dry, I can put them back where they belong and retract the rack back to the edge of the sink, where it unobtrusively waits for the next round of dishes,” writes Senior Editor Dana Dickey. “It even includes a slender utensils holder, and it easily doubles as a veggie-rinsing rack for my salad fixin’s…Also, since it’s heat-safe to 550 degrees, you can use the rack on your countertop as a trivet for scalding pots.”

5. Stack Your Nespresso Pods in a Holder

Amazon

Another trend designers predict will be huge this year? Beverage stations. (More specifically, coffee bars, which means it’s definitely time to invest in the latest Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee Maker.) Naturally, however, most of us don’t have the counter space to display bulky coffee pods next to the machine. Luckily, this TikTok video offers a space-saving solution. It’s a custom holder that allows you to stack up to 20 pods at a time. Plus, you can choose between a magnetic or adhesive tape mount, so you can basically stick it anywhere from the side of a fridge to the back of a cabinet.

6. Place Foil, Wrap and Plastic Bags into Dispensers

Amazon

We don’t know why, but there’s something about tearing cling wrap that makes us irrationally angry. (The same goes for choosing a plastic baggy that’s too small for what you’re trying to store). If you feel the same way, you need to hop on the eight-in-one drawer organizer from this TikTok. The set contains multiple compartments, including storage slots for freezer, sandwich, quart, snack and gallon bags. It also has a three-in-one dispenser, which has cutters for aluminum foil, plastic wrap and wax paper. And of course, the real draw is that it makes everything accessible in one place with label stickers that make it easy to tell what’s what. Bonus: It has pre-drilled holes if you want to mount it to the wall, and it includes anti-slip pads if you’re placing it in a drawer.

7. Conceal Cords On The Backs Of Appliances

Amazon

We all have that thing we can’t stand seeing in our kitchen. For some, it’s a dish-cluttered sink. For others, it’s a tangled ball of cords. If you’re the latter, you’ll love the easy appliance cord hack from this video. All you need is a few cord organizers with a hook and double-sided tape. Stick them to the back of your appliances (i.e., coffee makers, air fryers, toasters, blenders—the sky is the limit) and wrap the wires when you’re done for a totally cord-free countertop.

8. Fit More Utensils With An Angled Cutlery Tray

Amazon

It seems like we’re always unloading the dishwasher and struggling to squeeze all of our forks, knives and spoons into a tiny tray. Hence, why we love the space-saving hack from this user. While the tray only holds 24 pieces of cutlery, its 4-inch width allows you to add a few for your forks, spoons and knives (respectively). Plus, it’s designed to store your utensils at an angle to make everything look neat, organized and easily accessible.

9. Use an Adjustable Under-Sink Shelf for Cleaning Supplies

AMAZON

Simple and easy to maneuver, this under-cabinet trick involves a two-tiered, expandable cabinet shelf with eight adjustable slats. After you place your cleaning sprays, dishwasher pods, trash bags or rubber gloves on the shelves, you can shift the slats around for maximum storage, regardless of how your pipes are configured.

10. Hang Your Spoons and Spatulas on Hooks

AMAZON

Think you’re tapped out on cabinet space? Try this TikToker’s hanging hack, which also happens to add a farmhouse vibe to your kitchen. All you need is a storage bar and some hooks to hang your cutting boards, pots or pans from the side of your island. After all, we didn’t invest in a sage Our Place Always pan so it could sit in storage.
