1. Sculptural Lighting
ICYMI, bold and dramatic lighting is one of our favorite home trends of 2022 (so far). Paltrow killed this look by peppering her ceiling with custom light installations from Lindsey Adelman Studio. The fixtures feature opaque and translucent cones, cylinders, spheres and diamonds, all of which poke out at vertiginous angles—which, in and of itself, are a sculptural piece of artwork. The look is softened with a network of large-link brass chains that drape elegantly from the ceiling, like a necklace. See below for similar styles that can add dimension to your space without overwhelming it.

2. Checkerboard Patterns
Yet another trend we can’t get enough of? Black-and-white checkers. Here, Gwenyth brings the trend into her entryway with London-inspired reclaimed stone floors from Chateau `Domingue. But don’t worry—if you’re not in the mood to renovate your floors, you can still try this look with luxury vinyl planks or a chic checkered rug.

3. Plates On The Wall
Last but not least, a cottagecore trend that survived the New Year: plate walls. Paltrow went all out in her kitchen by creating a massive plate rack with luxurious Hermès dishes from the Bleus d'Ailleurs collection (seriously, does she ever get it wrong??). The display embodies the best of Newstalgia, where old and new designs blend seamlessly together for a timeless, elegant look.
