If you’re going to spring for a room—or patio—refresh, you want it to feel special. Like it tells your story, and it isn’t, “I went into a food coma after downing too many Swedish meatballs and bought the entire display room at IKEA.” It’s no wonder Etsy has seen a surge in searches for bigger-ticket goods, like handmade furniture (up 61 percent year over year) and outdoor patio décor (up a whopping 580 percent). It’s prompted the online marketplace to launch its first home sale, just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
The deals start on Friday, May 27—though anyone who has downloaded the Etsy app gets early access on May 26—and run through Thursday, June 2. Participating sellers will be offering up to 20 percent off things like fire pits, pendant lights, whiskey glasses, vases and candles. And while the sale runs for nearly a week, that doesn’t mean everything will stay in stock that long. After getting a sneak peek at the goods, these are the top items we’re predicting will disappear fast. Start doing your finger stretches; you might be clicking “add to cart” a lot.
