While the focus was almost entirely on Kate Middleton earlier this month when she hosted her third annual “Together at Christmas” concert at Westminster Abbey, we couldn’t help but spot the eye-catching Suzannah London coat worn by Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, too.

It’s from a past season, but so striking in a cornflower blue. Sophie—who is married to King Charles’s youngest brother, Prince Edward—paired it with a white midi dress from Me + Em ($285) and a pair of brown statement boots.

In fact, Sophie’s holiday look felt reminiscent of Princess Diana in the way that she used to choose non-traditional colors like banana yellow or ultra violet for the Christmas season. It’s a nice way to stand out with everyone else wearing red, green and white. (Truly, when you look at the family lineup in some of the pics from the concert, Sophie is the royal whose look really pops.)

So, how do you mirror her style? As we said, the Suzannah London coat is from 2019, but there are plenty of cornflower blue styles to choose from. We love the Eunice coat from Diane von Furstenberg ($888) even though it is a bit of a splurge. For a more affordable alternative, there’s also this belted style from Kenneth Cole, which is currently on sale for $166.

Now all that’s left to do is tune into Kate’s “Together at Christmas” concert. (For U.S.-based viewers, you can watch it on Christmas Eve via Britbox.)
