Kate Middleton Caught Everyone’s Eye at Rugby Match in Royal Rewear

Kate Middleton certainly grabbed our attention with her latest ensemble. The Princess of Wales attended the Wales vs. England Six Nations rugby match on Feb. 25, where she supported England as patron of the Rugby Football League and Rugby Football Union, while her husband, Prince William, was rooting for Wales (since he is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union). In the end, Princess Catherine's team ended up reigning victorious, however, we don't know how anyone kept their eyes on the game when the royal showed up in this striking look.

The Princess of Wales opted for a royal rewear, sporting a specially-made coatdress from Catherine Walker & Co., which she previously donned in 2018. The houndstooth design was certainly fitting for the event, given that both of the team's colors include red and white.

Our royal fashion inspiration paired the jacquard piece with black leggings and a black turtleneck. As noted by the Kate Middleton Style Blog, the Princess of Wales seemed to also be wearing her suede Aquatalia ankle boots (which are sadly sold out) and carrying a white Amberley bag from Mulberry (you can get a very-similar design from the brand here). She accessorized with earrings from Mappin & Webb.

Unfortunately, for those trying to nab the princess's coatdress, it was personally designed for the royal, meaning you won't be able to find an exact match. However, there are similar designs out there, like this shorter design for $175 or this more muted look for $54. And don't overlook this fluffier option for $100 either.

The Princess of Wales had this coatdress made in 2018, when she was pregnant with her youngest child, Prince Louis, 4.

She first wore the piece while visiting the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, and she paired it with maroon accessories. Now, years later, we love seeing this dazzling, double-breasted outerwear making a comeback.
