Not only was she wearing the most coveted color, but Kate attended the event in a fully monochrome outfit. The pièce de résistance was her structured coat. A mix between a blazer and a trench, her double-breasted coat absolutely stole the show. The jacket featured padded shoulders, slightly rounded lapels, ornate metallic buttons and front-flapped pockets. She paired it with a close fitting hat with a small fascinator, a multi-strand pearl necklace, a pair of pearl drop earrings, a top-handled bag (Kate's signature) and leather gloves. What I love about her ensemble is that the coat is incredibly wearable, so I decided to see what I could find to replicate her look. (Ahem, this Karl Lagerfeld Paris peacoat, $375; $250 is pretty on the nose.)
