Whenever we forecast fashion trends, there is always an element of guesswork, and we’ve certainly been proven wrong in the past. But in recent weeks, multiple A-list celebs have helped back up our prediction that hair accessories will be a major trend for 2024. First was Taylor Swift rocking not one, not two, but three different hair accessories, all from designer Jennifer Behr. And now it seems Jennifer Lopez has taken inspiration from her fellow Grammy-winner by stepping out in her own Jennifer Behr hair bow ($158) during Paris Couture Week.

The superstar singer has been showcasing one incredible look after another while attending fashion shows in Paris for couture week, including a coat made from more than 7,000 white rose petals and a dramatic floral cape by Valentino. But it was a more subtle detail that really grabbed our attention in a recent Instagram post—a sleek, black, velvet hair bow from Jennifer Behr worn just over her left ear.

Coincidentally, Taylor Swift was also recently photographed rocking a Jennifer Behr hair bow (though her’s was satin, not velvet) while cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce on Christmas last year. And for New Year’s Eve, she sported a set of celestial hair pins from the designer. Could Jennifer Behr be the next It accessory brand for A-list celebs now that it’s earned Lopez’s seal of approval as well? It’s definitely a contender, although the gorgeous designs don’t come cheap. (Don’t worry, we found some budget-friendly options that are just as fabulous.)

J.Lo’s exact bow is currently sold out at multiple retailers, though you can pre-order it on the Jennifer Behr website. (It’s expected to ship two to four weeks after ordering.) With a $158 price tag, it’s definitely a splurge. But for the ease of always having a perfectly tied hair bow, secured to a stainless steel barrette that works in just about any hair type, it might just be worth adding to your shopping cart—and to say that you and Jenny from the Block share a wardrobe staple in common.

If you don’t want to wait for Lopez’s exact bow or simply prefer to spend a little less on a trendy hair piece, we tracked down plenty of alternatives to shop, all under $35.

This Amazon cutie uses ribbon that’s a bit wider than the Jennifer Behr style above, with shorter ends draping down. But it also comes in a whopping 23 different colors, all for just $17 a pop. Plus, you can choose between a barrette or alligator clip, whichever works better for your hair type.

Closer in width and length to J.Lo’s hair bow, this Emi Jay barrette features an added touch of bling. It’s subtle enough that you can still rock this beauty for a casual afternoon, but makes it feel a little extra special when you do want to dress to the nines.

Perhaps the closest in look to the bow worn by J.Lo in Paris, this Etsy design comes in a range of different colors and can be affixed to a medium barrette, a large barrette or a medium clip. Just note, your order will take about one to two weeks to ship.
