This Sofía Vergara Action Flick Is the #4 Movie on Netflix—& It Looks *Intense*

Sofía Vergara is taking over Netflix, one throwback movie at a time.

The actress’s 2015 film Wild Card just claimed the number four spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked behind Sing 2, The Man from Toronto and The Dark Knight Rises but ahead of Final Score, Contraband and Mean Girls.)

The movie (which is based on the 1985 novel by William Goldman) follows a gambling addict slash self-proclaimed tough guy named Nick (Jason Statham), who is determined to track down the man responsible for jumping his friend. When his revenge mission puts him on the radar of a powerful mob boss, he must face the consequences. Vergara plays a character named D.D., which stands for “Double D.” (Go figure.)

In addition to Statham and Vergara, Wild Card also stars Michael Angarano (Cyrus Kinnick), Milo Ventimiglia (Danny DeMarco), Dominik Garcia-Lorido (Holly), Anne Heche (Roxy), Max Casella (Osgood), Jason Alexander (Pinky), Francois Vincentelli (Benny), Daviena McFadden (Millicent), Chris Browning (Tiel), Matthew Willig (Kinlaw), Hope Davis (Cassandra), Stanley Tucci (Baby) and Michael Papajohn (Pit Boss).

Wild Card originally hit theaters back in 2015, but it just recently became available to stream on Netflix. The film was directed by Simon West (When a Stranger Calls), while Goldman wrote the screenplay.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “After avenging his friend’s assault, a freelance tough guy with a gambling habit unwittingly stirs the wrath of a pitiless mob boss.”

BRB, adding Wild Card to our streaming queue.
