Who Is Victoria Pedretti (aka Love Quinn in Netflix’s ‘You’)?

She’s an actress who hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pedretti attended Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, PA, where she showed an interest in musical theater. Back in October 2020, the 28-year-old actress told Collider that she “always struggled in school.” 

But one thing she was good at? Acting. “I remember being in high school, not getting into the musical, and being like, ‘Well I guess I’ll do theater then,” she said at the time. “Boring, you know? There’s no song and dance. Where’s all the fun?”

Pedretti went on to share how much she started to love being onstage. “I ended up loving it,” the You actress continued. “And having the opportunity to do things where people came up to me afterward and they were like, ‘That affected me.’ And I was like, ‘S****, really?’ And that’s a really great feeling, you know? Being able to make that kind of impact. So, it’s kind of addictive at that point.” 

In 2017, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Acting from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. NBD. She’s obviously gone on to have a very successful career. Which brings us to...

That’s correct. Pedretti plays Love Quinn, an aspiring chef living in Los Angeles who comes from a wealthy family and has a complicated relationship with her twin brother, Forty. When Joe Goldberg (Badgley) begins a relationship with Love Quinn in season two, he quickly discovers that she has a much darker side than he first realized.

Numerous murders and coverups later, Love gets killed at the hands of her then-husband, Joe. While some fans might not have seen the shocking plot twist coming, Badgley had a feeling his onscreen love interest would meet an untimely fate. 

While appearing on Wire’s Autocomplete YouTube series, the 36-year-old actor shared his thoughts on the season three finale. “I always knew that Love was gonna die,” he shared. “I did not think she was gonna kill [Joe]. I knew that the show had too long left to go.” 

In addition to You and her role as Miss Danielle "Dani" Clayton in The Haunting of Bly Manor, Pedretti also played Nell Crain in season one of The Haunting of Hill House and Lulu in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Pedretti has also appeared in an episode of the Apple TV+ series Amazing Stories and she had a supporting role in the 2020 biographical drama film Shirley, which starred Elisabeth Moss. She also appeared in Kacey Musgraves’s Star-Crossed: The Film and even made a cameo in the singer’s music video for “Simple Times.”

In a 2019 interview with Oprah Daily, Pedretti talked about her roles in You and The Haunting of Hill House. When she was asked to share her experience playing Love and Lulu, the actress explained how she loved to “explore” characters that are so different. “As they were explaining Love to me when I first met with [You co-creators] Greg [Berlanti] and Sara [Gamble], I was like, Oh, I don’t know if I want to play the same exact character again,” she revealed.

Pedretti continued, “As they continued to explain it, it became clear that these are almost opposite characters. That was a real wonderful progression. To be able to explore the same experiences with individuals who react differently.”

The actress is reportedly dating her You co-star Dylan Arnold (who plays Theo). Their rumored romance started circulating the internet in November 2021 when the stars were spotted spending time together off-set. However, little is known about their relationship because the pair rarely post on social media. 

Back in November 2021, Arnold spoke with Glamour and shared what it was like working with Pedretti on season three of You. In the show, Arnold plays a college student named Theo and Love starts having an affair with him. 

“It’s actually funny, because I’m a year older than Victoria [Pedretti], and much older than my character, so those moments where she’s referring to me as a teenager were always really funny because I’m older than she is,” he told the publication. “But yeah, we had a lot of fun with those scenes, but it’s also very heartbreaking. We figured out a way to make it fun and charming.”

Although she doesn’t have an official Twitter account, Pedretti does have a verified Instagram account (@then0t0ri0usvip). Her page doesn’t have many posts though because she regularly deletes her content to start fresh.

The last time Pedretti posted on her Instagram page was back in September 2023 when she shared a new promo video for the newly released Quinn original series titled Compromised. In the first episode, Pedretti voices the character Agent Andie Jones. 

Back in February 2023, Daily Express reported that Pedretti will star in a new film directed by Ava DuVernay titled Caste, which is based on Isabel Wilkerson’s non-fiction novel, Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. While there is little information known about what role she will play in the upcoming project, the movie is set to be released on October 27, 2023. 

Will Pedretti return for a cameo in the fifth and final season of You? We can only hope.
