The 10 Best Characters on ‘The Office,’ According to an Entertainment Editor

From delivering poorly timed “That’s what she said” jokes to using “Parkour!” as an excuse to ruin our furniture, we can confidently say that we’ll never get tired of The Office. There’s something about the NBC series that makes it so binge-worthy, and it’s partially due to the eclectic group of characters.

That’s why PureWow’s executive editor of entertainment recently ranked the best Office characters in a video on Instagram. We expected some readers to disagree, but we had no idea how strongly people felt about the fictional employees of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company…until now.

The clip features our editor holding index cards as he ranks the highly beloved characters from worst to best, while the iconic Office theme song plays in the background. We’ll let you watch the video for yourself to determine whether or not you agree. (If you don’t, you’re not alone.)

Followers immediately flooded the comments section with opinions about who deserves to come out on top. In particular, many fans believe Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) deserves justice, since he came in at number seven behind some more controversial characters, like Holly Flax (Amy Ryan).

One person wrote, “I’m big mad you did my boy Jim like that the top 4 are Michael, Dwight, Pam, and Jim in no particular order #LetsArgue.” Another added, “Holly over Jim is straight disrespectful.”
