*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

With major stars like Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon (who both serve as executive producers of the show) as well as Steve Carrell, Jon Hamm and Bill Crudup appearing in the AppleTV+ original, The Morning Show, we didn’t think this already star-studded cast could be anymore stacked.

But according to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard will be joining the cast in its upcoming fourth season as Celine Dumont, who is described as “a savvy operator from a storied European family.” No further details about the character have been revealed.

Quick recap: Season 3 of the show left viewers with a massive cliffhanger (a tactic that the series used in both its freshman and sophomore seasons as well). The Morning Show’s in-series fictional network, UBA, has entered a merger with a rival news company and all bets are off as to what happens next and where that will lead our beloved characters. But it stands to reason that with a company merger, there will be new face—andCotillard may well be one of them.

Cotillard garnered an Oscar back in 2008 for her performance as Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose. Her other endeavors have included The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Big Fish, The Immigrant and many more.

While the new season has not been given an official release date, showrunner and executive producer Charlotte Stoudt told fans that it would be released after the 2024 U.S. presidential election, as reported by US weekly.

Personally, we can’t wait to see what Celine Dumont brings to the (news) table, but you’ll have to stay tuned in for more updates on season 4 to know for sure.
